Hamal Community Development District
The Hamal Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on January 8, 2001 by the City Commission of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida Ordinance No. 3390-00, as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The Hamal CDD encompasses an area of approximately 275 acres, all located within the boundaries of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida. The District is generally bounded on the west by the water catchment area, on the east by the Florida Turnpike, on the south by Okeechobee Boulevard and on the north by the water catchment area.
The Hamal CDD will be responsible for the financing, development, construction and maintenance of surface water management and control systems, certain access road, eradication of exotic vegetation, off-site environmental mitigation, street lighting, sound abatement walls and bicycle and pedestrian circulation system.
