The Hamal Community District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statues, as amended, and established on January 8, 2001 by Ordinance No. 3390-00 of the City Commission of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The District comprises approximately 275 acres and is located entirely within the boundaries of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida. The District is generally bounded on the west by the water catchment area, on the east by the Florida Turnpike, on the south by the Vista Center and on the north by the water catchment area.
